Forced conversion of Hindu youth: Former corporator and three arrested
Former BBMP corporator Ansar Pasha, the prime accused in the case of forced conversion of a Mandya youth, has been arrested in Tamil Nadu.
Recently, a young man from Mandya revealed the pain he experienced after falling into the conversion pit through a video. This video went viral.
Banashankari Ward former corporator Ansar Pasha, Nayaz Khan and Azizab are the arrested accused and have been produced in the court today.
Sridhar/Salman, a young man from Mandya, was converted and circumcised in Bangalore. A case was registered in Hubli Navnagar police station in this regard. Later the case was transferred to Banashankari station.
On the pretext of financial assistance, Attawar Rehman, the first accused in the case, brought the victim Sridhar to Banashankari Masjid a year ago and introduced all the accused. He spoke disparagingly about God and pressured him to convert to Islam step by step.
He named Sridhar as Mohammed Salman and wrote a bond paper. After that they took his mobile phone and kept him in illegal detention for a week. On top of all this, they were forced to perform katna, forcefully fed beef. Along with this, Sridhar has alleged that he pressured them to bring three people a year and convert them.
